Workflow guide

Rebalancing

Generate a model-driven rebalancing report, review and adjust every proposed trade, then export or submit orders — all inside the Portfolios tab.

Run and review a report

1Select the portfolio
Choose the portfolio in the context bar below the TRIMM logo. Rebalancing always runs against this selection.
2Generate the report
Click Generate Rebalancing in the Portfolios toolbar. The new report appears at the top of Rebalancing reports while the model runs, then its status changes to Completed.
3Pick a report
Select any row in the report history to load its recommendation below. Use Report PDF to download a report, Delete Reports to remove checked ones, and Back to Holdings to return to the holdings table.
4Review the recommendation
Each row is one proposed trade with its estimated price, position value, and fees. Compare Model Units, the model’s suggestion, against User Units, the quantity you intend to trade.
5Adjust quantities
Click the edit icon on a row to edit User Units, then Save the row or Save changes to save everything. The model’s recommendation stays unchanged for reference; only your user units move.
6Export or submit
Trades CSV downloads every trade with units, fees, and status. Orders marked for the broker are submitted through a confirmation dialog that shows the total trade count and notional before anything is sent.

  4. Positionthe signed dollar value of the proposed trade at the estimated price; negative for sells, positive for buys.
  5. Commission / Govt. Fee / Other Feesestimated costs per trade line, included in the Trades CSV export.
  6. StatusPending until orders are submitted; changes to executed once broker submission completes.
Tip

Deleting a report or a trade cannot be undone. Review your edited quantities against the confirmation dialog’s trade count and total notional before submitting to the broker.

A model portfolio is a target set of holdings and weights. Once built, you can use it across the terminal:

Benchmark with it (Available soon)

Use a model as the benchmark in Risk and compare it against the efficient frontier.

Rebalance toward it (Available soon)

Compare a live portfolio against the model to see the trades needed to close the gap.

Nest it (Available soon)

Combine models as “sleeves” inside a larger model to build multi-strategy allocations.

Create a model

Click New in the top-left corner to add a new model.
2Model type
Select Single asset to add assets individually, or Sector to let AI design a portfolio based on the selections and constraints you set.

  4. 4Correlation of Productscalculates the historical correlation between all products in the selected portfolio. High positive correlation means holdings tend to move together; low or negative correlation may indicate diversification benefit.
